Reiki Courses and Training

Your one-stop Reiki training centre in Reading and Berkshire.

As your Reiki Master/Teacher, it will be my  privilege to attune and train you in the Usui lineage of Reiki.
You do not need to have an A-level or any college qualification to be attuned and trained as a Reiki practitioner. All you need is the drive and intent to give healing.
There are three levels (or degrees) in Reiki: I, II and III. Some Reiki masters also offer a fourth level which I will explain later, although, for all intents and purposes, the fourth one is not a degree as such.

Reiki Level I:   Prerequisite: None.     Duration: one day.
In the first degree – Reiki I – you will be attuned and introduced to the first steps in Reiki: its founder, a brief history of Reiki’s origins, how Reiki energy works; other pioneers of Reiki; and how  to give healing to yourself, others and to animals and plants. This level is just the start of your journey and growth into Reiki. It will be unethical to charge a fee for healing given to others as a level I practitioner.

Reiki level II:  Prerequisite: Reiki level I.    Duration: one day.
In the second degree you will be attuned to Reiki II and also be introduced to the three Reiki symbols which you can use during healing. You will be taught the meaning of these symbols and have a practice session on how to draw them. This is also the level where you can send distant healing to others who may be in the next room or thousands of miles away. Attunement to Reiki II should be done – in my opinion – after a period of 5 – 6 months from attaining level I. One has to have reached a certain level of growth, practice and understanding in Reiki to be able to embrace second degree Reiki. During Reiki II training you will also be familiarised with the commercial side of being a practitioner.

Reiki Level III:  Master (practitioner) / Teacher level.
Prerequisite: Reiki level II  – Duration: One day for Master (practitioner) level. Two days for Master/Teacher level combined.
This is where some masters offer attunement-only to Reiki III for the master-practitioner level, and others offer the Master/Teacher level combined.
In the Third degree you will be attuned to Reiki III and learn the fourth (master) symbol.

Master/Teacher: some masters call the Teacher level as Reiki IV. Whilst all masters are also practitioners, but not all masters are teachers and they do not perform attunements. This is where the Teacher training can either be combined or left out of the third degree depending on whether the candidate would like to teach and attune others or be content with being a practitioner only.

I can offer either Master – (practitioner) only or a combined Master-Teacher level attunement and training. The choice is yours.

What do you get after your training/attunement? Upon completion of each of the above three levels, you will receive my own Reiki manual for each level, a Certificate, practice session at the end of your course, and in the case of Reiki I you can have an additional one-to-one practice session (for a small fee) apart from the ones included in your training.

Attunement: an attunement is a brief and a silent ceremony of initiation held between the Reiki master and the student. It involves no chanting, no lines to memorise and no affirmations to be made. It is all done through intent.

I conduct my Reiki  training in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. As such, I do no have pre-assigned training calendar.  Mutually convenient dates can be agreed upon between the student and the teacher.
